Institutional Gathering of the National Association of Informatics and Computer Students Region XII Kalimantan, West Kalimantan Area Carrying the Theme: “Moving Together, Empowered for Indonesia’s Technological Advancement”

Pontianak, October 25, 2025 —

The National Association of Informatics and Computer Students (Permikomnas) Region XII Kalimantan, West Kalimantan Area, successfully held its Institutional Gathering on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Building C, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tanjungpura. The event brought together various student associations to strengthen networks, collaboration, and collective direction in the fields of informatics and computer science across West Kalimantan.

The event was officially opened by Dr. Ir. Yus Sholva, S.T., M.T., Head of the Informatics Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tanjungpura. He expressed full support for informatics and computer science students to continue innovating and collaborating through the Permikomnas platform for the advancement of technology in West Kalimantan.

Joining virtually via Google Meet was Romi Bia Santo, A.Md.Kom., the first West Kalimantan Area Coordinator of Permikomnas Region XII Kalimantan (2018–2020). He encouraged the continued growth and progress of Permikomnas in West Kalimantan as a forum for collaboration and student innovation.

This gathering holds even greater significance as Permikomnas in West Kalimantan has re-emerged after decades of inactivity. Since the election of Dwiki Nur Ichlas (representative of the Information Systems Student Association, FTIK Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak) as West Kalimantan Area Coordinator for the 2024–2025 period in March 2025, Permikomnas in the region has gained renewed momentum with a clearer direction. Dwiki expressed hope that Permikomnas in West Kalimantan will continue to grow and provide meaningful contributions to society and the regional technology ecosystem, which remains unevenly distributed.

The event featured not only networking sessions but also a seminar segment with two speakers:

• Dimas Apriyandi, S.Kom., M.Sc. (Hons.), CPS — Lecturer of Informatics, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tanjungpura, and alumnus of the Informatics Student Association of FT Untan, presented “Everything You Click Matters,” emphasizing the importance of digital literacy in career development, ethics, and innovation in informatics.

• M. Ferri Sutriana, S.Kom. — delivered “Security Awareness for Students,” highlighting the role and responsibility of students in digital security and campus digital culture.

Following the seminar, activities continued with benchmarking sessions and introductions among student associations, followed by games designed to strengthen interpersonal connections among members. The event concluded with a group photo session, where participants proudly displayed their respective association banners.
